Penang II : Day 1

Backpacked to Penang in March with Kak Bie and Aunty Safiah. Their first trip to Penang, my third trip but it feels like the first time since the previous two was not as adventurous.

We took a 3.00pm flight from Senai, it was delayed and we arrived at Penang around 5.00pm. It cost us around RM50.00/pax for return tickets.

From Penang Airport, we took Rapid to Georgetown. RM2.70 bus fare per person.

We took off at Chowrasta. Bought some fruit from the stalls. And then we walked to our hotel at Lebuh Campbell.

I booked a room at The Campbell Times. Small and cozy, perfect for us to relax and get some rest before jalan-jalan cari makan.

After we freshen up, we went to Hameediyah for dinner.I had the briyani, Aunty Safiah ordered murtabak (it was so good), and Kak Bie had mee goreng (not in picture).

We walked to Masjid Kapitan Keling for Maghrib/Isya' prayers. It was basically a ghost town at night. There were a lot of homeless people and some of them were drunk.

After prayers, we went to Nasi Kandar Beratur but it was not opened yet. We were already tired and full anyway so we decided to go there on the next day. To be continued...
